Explainer Video
This is what I am most comfortable with. It has a wide variety of purposes and I would say it is one of the more common uses of motion graphics. Explainer videos take a complex process or situation. Then uses animation to break down the process to manageable chunks that tell the complete picture. It is a way to help people emotionally connect with your brand because you can bring storytelling to the mix.
Product Demo Videos
This could fit under the explainer video section, but I wanted to separate to show the variety of ways to use motion graphics. Explainer focuses on a concept and this focuses on a product. A great way to not only tell story about your product, but also can show you how to use your product. Some of the products we use are complex and need a little further explanation. Motion graphics can really help, whether digital or physical.
Logo Animation
This can really help your brand stand above the rest. I love the quote “Design to Delight”. I’m not sure where I heard it, and if you know please let me know. Motion graphics brings delight to design, and in this case, logo design. Bringing that joy will reflect positivity for your brand.
Bumper/Intro
Video bumpers are short (usually 10 seconds or less) video clips that typically show the brand or company that your video represents. Video bumpers can be included at the start, middle, or end of your content.
For example, if you are a marketing consultant, then you might have a bumper clip that introduces your name with graphics and music playing in the background.
